देनदार कोई और है, भेजत है दिन रैन।
लोग भरम हम पर धरै, यातें नीचे नैन॥

"देने वाला तो भगवान है ,वही दिन-रात भेज रहा है। लोग समझते हैं हम दे रहे हैं। इसलिए हमने लज्जावश अपनी आँखें नीची की हुई हैं।"-रहीम
