Anxiety vs Acting

The possibility of a bad thing is worse than the actual bad thing. Anxiety sharpens our senses but a lot of anxiety is a hinderens , it distracts us from taking decisions. Anxiety is a percieved danger not actual danger.
Living with anxiety is like being followed by a voice. The voice inside you is like a mirror of you talking to you who knows all your insecurities and uses them against you. But there is hope, Overcoming anxiety is learning to take action even though you are unsure about the results
Anxiety is the consequence of a wrong thinking and false thought. Our doubts lead us to anxiety but that is not necessarily true. Everytime you listen to your worry then you are feeding it, You have to challenge it question it. For instance a child who is scared to go upstairs, So first thing is to externalise your anxiety, Tell yourself that your worry talking to me, second you find incorrect thinking mistakes you will think that you have been there many times , third is practice going up. For example let your mother stay near the stair and you take few steps. Anxiety is a temprory uncofortable feeling. anyone can overcome it.
Acting is the art of communication and not everyone has that skill. Acting teaches us to pay attention to life, Acting teaches us to observe human behaviour. Actors look for motivation. What motivates my character ? Acting teaches us also how to listen, to listen what being said and to listen what not being said.A recent study sayd that 80 % we communicate to another human being is non verbal and only 7% is content and remaining is voice. Acting teaches us to make strong choices. You want something from the stage .The actor will act positive to flip the negative. When we make these small act of kindness it makes us feel like an artist who is bringing life to a painting, makes us feel like a scientist who discovered a life saving skill.
There is something called Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) triangle. It is a talking therapy that can help you manage your problems by changing the way you think and behave. It is most commonly used to treat anxiety and depression, but can be useful for other mental and physical health problems.
Now the cure is to make them feel live in the moment, talk to them more and more to make them feel better and change their actions.
We all have an inner triangle based on our thoughts , actions and feelings. So changing what a person is doing will help change what he feels. This way you can help them cure themselves.
An actor is present in all of us. What actor does is opening up and exposing which is not visible, acting is something we all have it. I am sure that all of us have been in situation when they have to act. We have had instances when we bridge moments to moments. If we are really good actors then we can use words differently to hide emotions.We try to create defend mechanism for us. What is the gift of being a performer ? Most of them are self centered. There is a certain magic in performance. We cant see each other in the mirror , we need one other to recognize ourself. Performance is only complete when we are together in that process, IN that process we are able to create a conscious dream . A performer can live many lives , In some beautiful way we are able to die in the imaginery world,. I think one of the beautiful things about being a performer is also the fact that we see ourselves and we learn to forgive ourselves. We recognize our imperfections and forgive others and in that process to celebrate life and to celebrate one who give us this privilege to live.
